President’s Day

It’s President’s Day here in the U.S. A day dedicated to honoring all United States Presidents, but especially Washington and Lincoln.

We remember great leaders for their actions and their impact. We also remember them for their words.

Associate with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for it is better to be alone than in bad company. George Washington

If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter. George Washington

Fourscore and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Abraham Lincoln

Am I not destroying my enemies when I make friends of them? Abraham Lincoln

Words live on.

People remember. They write them on their hearts and minds. And the words of leaders live on for generations.

You are a leader.

Maybe not of a nation. But you lead. People listen. They act or react.

You lead…

  • Your family.
  • Your friends.
  • Your children.
  • Your spouse.
  • Your co-workers.

Don’t discount your words because your position in life may not be presidential. Your words may impact a future president today. And they certainly impact everyone around you.
